Episode 144 - Saturday nights, Channel 5!

Is it almost full time for The Football League Show? According to newspaper reports, the BBC has lost the rights to show weekly highlights from next season, which will instead move to a primetime 9pm Saturday night slot on Channel 5.

The reporter who broke the story, broadcaster and journalist Alan Biggs, joins us. Alan has covered football for decades, working for both the BBC and commercial stations. He is currently editor of you-are-the-ref.com, and a match reporter for both Sky and talkSPORT. We also get your opinions, debate the legacy of Manish and Clem - plus ask, what do we actually want from a Saturday night highlights show?

Elsewhere, sticking with media coverage, we catch up with football writer and author Adam Hurrey, who runs the excellent @FootballCliches Twitter account and website. He has also just published his debut book 'Football Cliches' (a speculative effort, from distance, to translate the language of football), which we discuss, alongside 'real football men' and Andy Townsend's ill-fated tactics truck.

There's also the winners of our Football Manager 2015 competition - plus Reading sacking Nigel Adkins, Chesterfield NOT being kicked out of the FA Cup... and contrasting away days for DC and Mark at Fulham and Oxford...

Merry Christmas! We'll be back next Monday with a very special show. One not to be missed.
