The Big Interview Presents... Cricket

Now, I have gone into every Big Interview knowing that football was going to be the main topic of conversation. But there have been times when I've spoken to a guest who talked just as passionately about cricket - so much so, that we have dedicated a special clip show to the sport. We begin with perhaps the most talented cricketer to have featured among our guests: Mr Phillip Neville. Phil was facing fast balls and yorkers, delivered by some recognised international players, when he was just eight years old. He lived to tell the tale on The Big Interview.A young Matt Le Tissier was also considered to be a skilled wicketkeeper and a prodigious batsman. He might have made it in the sport had he not happened to be a pretty capable footballer too. Phil also describes the mental toughness he saw in the Australian cricketers he played with and explains how that helped him in his football career, while Chris Sutton argues that batsman is the most psychologically demanding role in all sport. And we give the last word to Gary Neville as he pays tribute to the late, great cricket commentator Richie Benaud.Enjoy!
