Our Syrian Refugee Translator

Even though Imad lives in Egypt now, he is himself a Syrian refugee. He still has a way to go to safety and a stable life partially also because his own beliefs on religion and sexual preference mean his dangers are not over.

Podcasting has put some amazing people in our paths. Imad has enabled us to talk about German history and culture directly to Syrian refugees living in Germany in Arabic. He diligently translates our show to Arabic and gives it a voice of his own. Unable to get a visa, let alone just be the human he is, Imad takes the time and tells us a bit about the man behind the History of Germany in Arabic. We discuss his journey through Sudan, his dangers, life, and even abduction and imprisonment in Syria, how he is doing now in Egypt, and his hopes for the future.

Anything with the History of Arabic logo on it in the Podcastnik Shop, Imad gets a nice chunk of the proceeds: https://podcastnikshop.com/search?q=arabic We consider requests for the shop if you have an idea that we don't offer yet.
