MOMS #52: The Mad Few and Intelligent Questions

After the Rotherham win bought an end to a five-game winless run, Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce got bullish calling out Villa fans for voicing criticism about his management. Labelling them "the mad few", he went on to say that intelligent people understood what he was doing. According to a MOMS Twitter poll of over 1500 Villa fans, 77% considered themselves the mad few, as opposed to being the 'intelligent people'.

Against this context and recorded before Villa's Sheffield Wednesday home loss, My Old Man Said's podcast show's David Michael, Dan Rodgers and Chris Budd answer the latest round of listener questions that cover a very wide of Villa-related topics.

Show highlights include:

  • Director of Football & CEO
  • Could a new manager be able to quickly change our style
  • Thoughts on the John Terry situation
  • How far down is BCFC?
  • How many players have improved under Bruce’s coaching?
  • Dr Tony's current influence
  • Is Bruce right to call out the media and some fans?
  • Holte Suite
  • Tammy Abraham thoughts
  • Tactical flexibility
  • How long has Bruce got?
  • Kodjia and Abraham together, or just one of them up top?
