Hello and welcome to My Big Idea, an ASOS Podcast giving young women advice and inspiration to start their own businesses. This week Asos editor Danielle Radojcin chats with Marine Tanguy, CEO of MTArt, an Agency for Contemporary Artists.In an era where mass urban re-development often means that only the top galleries and their most bankable artists are visible whilst risk taking exhibitions from new talent are deemed un-commercial and therefore unaffordable, by placing their artists at the very centre of the company, MTArt aims to give a powerful voice to a new generation and to defend our future artistic and cultural legacy.MTArt is, essentially, an artist agency and artist fund that both manages and invests in a select group of artists. The artists selected are exposed to a team of experts in PR, content strategy and business advice in order to support them and boost their careers. Artists also receive personal, logistical, legal and financial support. They are given unlimited access to sales specialists, events, collaboration opportunities, sponsorship and network. All artists are carefully selected by the MTArt team and MTArt board, and are judged by their potential and the high standards and quality of their work. Collectors and investors are exposed to a model built on sustainability and success: they buy into the vision of our artists, with MTArt's motto being 'Don't invest in art, invest in artists'.This is Marine's big idea.
