Saying Goodbye to my Best Friend

The hardest decision for a horse owner to ever make is when is the right time to say goodbye. In some cases you may not have the chance to say goodbye, how do you deal with the loss of your best friend. It’s okay to talk about how you are feeling whether this happened yesterday or 10 years ago, it all effects each of us differently. So this week we welcome Gemma Taylor from the Blue Cross who bravely shares her own personal story of losing her horse. We are opening the phone lines on #HorseHour Live so you can call in to talk about your own situation on Monday at 8pm BST, plus join us on Twitter to support others who are going through a similar situation.#HorseHour is all about supporting our equestrian community and through sharing our stories we may be able to help someone who is feeling alone and confused about how they are feeling after saying one last goodbye to their horse. If you would like help or just someone to talk to, the Blue Cross Pet Bereavement Support Team are available to help you. Just give them a call 0800 096 6606.You can also visit their website: www.bluecross.org.uk/pet-bereavement-supportJoin in the conversation on Twitter just use #HorseHour, Mondays 8pm GMT/3pm EST.
