For over 25 years, Joanna Shields helped building some of the world's leading technology companies, holding senior executive roles at Google, AOL, and Facebook. As Vice President and Managing Director of Facebook Europe, Middle East and Africa, she led the company's international growth to over 1 billion users. In 2015 Shields joined the British government as the country's first Internet Security Minister to fight the war against cybercrime. At Brilliant Minds in June, Shields spoke about how to get the bad guys while maintaining a free and open internet.
