Any Stupid Questions about... The NHS?

Ever feel like you missed something important when it comes to the news? A fact, a detail, or an event that it feels like everyone else knows about, and now you'd look like a moron if you asked someone to explain? Well, here's a podcast that will ask those questions so you don't have to.

This week, host Danielle Ward is joined by Andy Cowper, the editor of Health Policy Insight and comment editor of the Health Services Journal, to ask questions about the NHS, which he knows loads about. She's also joined by comedians Darren Harriott (2017 Edinburgh Comedy Award newcomer nominee) and Carrie Quinlan (The News Quiz, John Finnemore's Souvenir Programme).

Questions asked and answered include:

  • Is the NHS being privatised?
  • Will the NHS get £350m a week more after Brexit?
  • Why not charge drunk people in A&E?

...so if you've sort of been guessing the answers based on a gut feeling, why not listen and find out for sure?

All our guests are on Twitter, so go and say hello - @HPIAndyCowper, @DarrenHarriott, @quinlan_carrie, and Danielle is @captainward.
